Within this ever-growing body of work, I traverse the human psyche by demonstrating the union between memory, emotion, and color. Many pieces are silent, graphic explanations and visual commemorations of events I recall with odium. I spend time prospecting areas of the mind that bring unease to the forefront, to then translate a harsh and foul truth with delicate palettes. Each piece is a revelation, coming to terms with what is and was. Fully surrendering to the past and present. During my conceptual process, I exercise a spiritual intimacy, or meditation, with my intentions for a painting to further extend a part of myself in every hue. They are stories constructed for observation and reflection from the witness, offering a lens into a realm that is seldom considered; or known. All original paintings contain a message invisible to the naked eye, only revealing a truth hidden between ultraviolet light.
